JDE Updated!

Since the birth of the Japan Dog Export website in 2012, our site's purpose and design had remained unchanged. However, we've recently refocused our direction on helping solely with pet import/export. This means we no longer accept requests to look for dogs available for sale in Japan. In light of this change, a website revamp was in order.  Thank you to everyone who we have worked with in the past. We hope to continue to be of use to as many pet owners as possible, taking the stress out of moving across borders with your companions.

The Global Supply Chain

Hello, everyone. It has taken a while, but it looks like the COVID and Ukraine related global supply chain logistics issues have for the most part been sorted out. Pet transport has resumed, including transport to previously difficult Australia. While we cannot guarantee that shipping will be available to all destinations, we can as always, advise pet owners on the best possible routes to travel with their dogs.

Pricing

With so many variables when importing/exporting, it is impossible to list prices for everything. But, here are some basic services that we can list prices for: Haneda Airport, pick up/drop off: 20,000JPY (with stopover in Tokyo: 25,000JPY) Narita Airport, pick up/drop off: 25,000JPY (with stopover in Tokyo: 32,000JPY) Japan Kennel Club Export Pedigree: 17,000JPY Overnight Kenneling at JDE (location Minamiboso city): 2,000-5,000JPY 1 Month Kenneling at JDE: 50,000-90,000JPY copyright 2020 Katsumasa Masuda

COVID19 Affecting Import/Export

We continue to receive many inquiries about importing/exporting dogs to/from Japan. I just wanted to update everyone on the current situation, and how COVID19 is affecting the export/import of dogs. All cargo shipping of dogs internationally has been shut down till at least the end of May. We have not yet received a timetable for when this will open up again. Japan was under a national state of emergency which was just lifted recently. Japan’s borders are currently closed to nationals of most countries. The timetable for lifting border restrictions is unknown.  https://www.japan.travel/en/coronavirus/?fbclid=IwAR2utXDHFWOqp23iWEhLLv5SeTzcGzzlrP1f-97v1q9p41hq6KNj0MrbI-E We will all just have to wait and see how things progress, and if any new information becomes available I will post an update here on the blog.
